XSENS at the 49th IPA Convention & Exhibition in Jakarta

Our representative, Yofri Yasar, recently concluded his attendance at the 49th IPA Convention & Exhibition in Jakarta, Indonesia. This annual event remains a critical gathering for stakeholders across the Indonesian Oil and Gas industry, offering a popular platform for knowledge exchange and professional engagement within the upstream sector.

Client Meetings

Recognizing the value of focused interactions, our approach at the 49th IPA Convex deviated from having a traditional exhibition booth. Our local agent, PT Geoservices, established a dedicated hospitality lounge in a conveniently located hotel adjacent to the main convention hall. This setting proved highly effective for fostering substantive discussions with key Indonesian industry figures.

Within this environment, Yofri Yasar conducted detailed presentations on XSENS technology to senior decision-makers from significant industry operators, including Pertamina and Petronas, as well as other relevant organizations operating within the upstream Oil and Gas landscape across Southeast Asia.

Showcasing XSENS Technology for maturing Indonesian oil fields

The core of our discussions revolved around how XSENS technology directly addresses prevailing operational challenges within Indonesia’s maturing oil production activities.

Indonesia, like many other countries around the world, are experiencing aging oil fields. These produce much more water flow today than at production initiation many years ago. At the same time, the liquid flow rates go down reducing fluid velocities. This means that inline meters (coriolis, magnetic, turbine and other flow technologies) that were installed 10-20 years ago are now going out of their intended operating range. XSENS’s high accuracy clamp-on flow rate and water cut meters provide an easy to install solution to extend the lifetime of operations in mature oil fields as these can handle very low flow rates and very high water cut.

These direct engagements facilitated a deeper understanding of specific client requirements, reaffirming the practical relevance of XSENS solutions in supporting the industry’s pursuit of operational excellence and data-driven decision-making.

Outcomes and Future Outlook

Our participation at the 49th IPA Convention & Exhibition was productive, yielding valuable insights and strengthening key relationships. Leveraging PT Geoservices’ hospitality lounge enabled more direct and impactful conversations with influential industry players. These detailed demonstrations of XSENS technology to companies like Pertamina and Petronas will lead to  further collaborative discussions and project opportunities within the dynamic Indonesian Oil and Gas market.

This event reinforces our ongoing commitment to delivering advanced technological solutions that align with the strategic objectives and evolving needs of the regional energy sector.
