XSENS KICKS OFF CLAMP-ON MUD FLOW AND QUALITY MEASUREMENT PROJECT TOGETHER WITH EQUINOR, TOTAL AND BAKER HUGHES
XSENS AS has kicked off a Norwegian Research Council funded project to develop a new and unique clamp-on mud flow meter for use on inflow and return flow of mud from drilling operations.
The project was officially launched on June 25th together with participants Equinor, Total and Baker Hughes. It will run for two and a half years and involve the study of mud rheology, secondary measurement methods and extensive onshore and offshore testing. Researchers from the Norwegian Research Centre (NORCE), in Bergen and Stavanger, as well as from Western Norway University of Applied Science will be part of the development.
“We are humbled to have attracted these important participants and experts into this project, and we look forward to working closely with them to make this project a joint success,” says Magne Husebø, CEO at XSENS AS.
